ECCE

Our ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) rooms cater to children aged 2 years and 8 months to approximately 5 years. The adult-to-child ratio is 1:11 for sessional care and 1:8 for full-day care.

We offer two options for preschool care. The sessional ECCE service provides two free preschool years funded by the government, operating for 38 weeks each year from 9 am to 12 pm, or 1 pm to 4 pm five days a week. For more information, you can visit the ECCE scheme. The full-day care service, on the other hand, includes full-day care with the ECCE subvention deducted from the weekly fee, and this service is available for 51 weeks of the year, only closing for a week at Christmas.

Our full-time and part-time ECCE rooms are equipped with an abundance of materials, which are seamlessly integrated into a child-led and play-based curriculum. Our highly qualified team strives to make your child’s time with us as enjoyable as possible. They work with each child at their individual pace to help them maximize their cognitive, emotional, social, and physical potential.

The curriculum is developed collaboratively by both the children and the staff. We draw inspiration from the children’s play and conversations, incorporating themes they express interest in. Additionally, we introduce common topics such as Christmas, Halloween, seasons, weather, their community, and customs and traditions from around the world. This approach helps children learn about the world around them, promoting a diverse and inclusive environment where they can see themselves and their families reflected.

Our learning environment emphasizes informal learning through play and language development, utilizing early childhood education techniques to enhance language, literacy, and numeracy skills. Children engage in arts, and crafts, sensory play, dress-up, construction, role play, fun experiments, and outdoor activities.

We are committed to fostering independence and autonomy in the children. Our staff supports children in becoming independent and caring for their own needs, with activities and routines designed to foster autonomy. By implementing a play-based curriculum that adapts to each child’s interests and unique skills, we ensure that children’s voices are heard and their interests are acknowledged and promoted.

Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where each child can develop their unique skills, gain confidence in their abilities, enjoy their learning journey, and become independent children who are confident, competent, and capable as they transition to Primary school.
